Réunion + Zlín = Richness of Diversity aneb projekt partnerství škol ERASMUS+ KA2 schválen!
Ptáte se, co mají společného funkcionalistické město v srdci Evropy a francouzský zámořský department ležící v Indickém oceánu?
Zdánlivě nic, ve skutečnosti však mnoho! Oba se nachází v Evropské unii a oba budou v následujících letech (od 1. 11. 2019 - 31. 10. 2021) místem konání evropského projektu ERASMUS+ KA2 partnerství škol.
Projekt s názvem Richesses de la diversité/Richness of Diversity navazuje na několikaletou spolupráci partnerství škol Gymnázium Zlín - Lesní čtvrť (ČR) a Collège Emilien Adam de Villiers, Saint-Pierre, Réunion (FR).
Plánované projektové aktivity mají za cíl ukázat zapojeným účastníkům možnosti, jak správným směrem přímo ovlivňovat životní prostředí. Součástí získaného grantu jsou i desetidenní výměnné pobyty žáků na partnerských školách financované ze zdrojů EU. Prostřednictvím objevování a poznávání genia loci a jedinečností míst (pro obě zapojené země z tak různorodých socio-kulturních prostředí) včetně diverzity přírodních druhů participujících zemí a měst se můžeme/chceme také naučit mnohé o sobě samých. Ve spolupráci s réunionskou partnerskou školou zveřejníme na webových stránkách Twinspace Vlogy a další konkrétní výstupy připravené v dvouletém harmonogramu projektových aktivit. Účastníci zaznamenají jednotlivé fáze přípravy a realizace zpracovávaných témat či průběh mobilit do svého bilingválního projektového deníku (na výstavu těchto deníků Vás již nyní srdečně zveme!:-).

Aktivity projektu
1) CARDS OF PARTICIPANTS
Participants filled in a form created by the coordinating Czech school. The information in the "Cartes des participants" helped to create the ideal pairs of correspondents.
2) OFFICIAL PROJECT LOGO
Competition for the best project logo. Participants created project logo designs. 3) PROJECT DIARIES
In cooperation with Tomas Bata University in Zlín, the blue print of the project diary was created. The project diary serves all project participants, including coordinators, to record individual project activities. The project diary template will be available to interested parties from schools or other institutions for free use in the implementation of ERASMUS + project activities. At the end of the project period, an exhibition of all completed project diaries will be organized in the premises of the cooperating organizations.
4) RECYCLABLE COVERS FOR PROJECT DIARIES
Due to Covid-19 pandemics the main project outcome – Project diaries had to be sent to the Reunion island instead of being handed in person - However that did not stop the participants from both schools from creating original covers for their project diaries. Recyclable covers were created, for example, from palm leaves (French pupils from Réunion) or from used/recycled materials (Czech students from Zlín). The originality of the created packaging as well as of the project diaries will be presented at the end of the project period in an exhibition.
5) VLOGS
Participants created videos in English on the topic "Me and ..." (Moi et ...; Já a ...). The videos (vlogs) are to be presented during exchanges and at the Open Days or other dissemination activities of the ERASMUS + KA2 "Richesses de la diversité" project at both participating schools. Videos of participants from both partner schools (including videos of coordinators and participating teachers) were uploaded to the Microsoft TEAMS platform and e-twinning. Both of these platforms securely serve to join the participants and share project outputs. The attachment uploads one of the videos created by the project participants.
6) ERASMUS DAYS
Activities for Erasmus Days were planned and prepared in detail. Due to the impossibility of implementing them in person (pandemic covid-19), the reminder and celebration of the ERASMUS + project was done under a virtual form. French and Czech partners participated in the international activity "Rallye des cartes" and in online activities ERASMUS DAYS created by teachers of various subjects on the Microsoft TEAMS platform. 7) POSTAL GREETINGS TO PARTNER SCHOOLS
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was impossible to carry out a number of specific activities. The school coordinators thus added virtual or other project activities that could have been accomplished despite the bad situation in the world. One such activity was sending postal greetings to the partner schools within the Erasmus Days activities. 8) RALLYE DES CARTES
In cooperation with the Région académique of the Réunion and the partner school of the College of Emilien Adam de Villiers, Saint-Pierre (France), virtual (digital template) and real postcards were created. There was an exchange of postcards between the partner schools. This chain of postcards runs from October to December 2020.
9) THE PROJECT MUST GO ON
Despite the impossibility of undergoing student exchanges at partner schools due to the covid-19 pandemic, the project activities continue, virtually, digitally, online on various platforms. 10) MAXIPEXESO MAXIMEMORY GAME
To be able to fully illustrate not only the diversity of our project but also the wonderful varieties our two countries we decided to create a memory game "pick a pair" with the students Maxipexeso Maximemory game. Large format colorful drawings, made by our students, of different typical aspect of the Czech Republic and the Reunion are placed on the ceilings in school corridors where students can also find yogamats so they can down, relax and play. https://www.gymzl.cz/27959n-neves-hlavu-hled-vzhuru
11) LONG LIVE THE FOREST! VIVE LA FORET!
Volunteering in cooperation with LESY ČR in forest cleaning. Environmental activities implemented outside the original project schedule due to a coronavity pandemic and the inability to carry out an exchange stay at a partner school.

12) CHRISTMAS CHARITY E-AUCTION
Organised in support of The Zlin Dog Shelter Vrsava organized by both participating schools and in cooperation with local institutions within the project ERASMUS+ KA2 Richesses de la diversité. This Christmas e-auction was realized as the highest-price sealed-bid auction. The general public has joined the online auction in the platform FORMS MS TEAMS. 13) WE MOVE TO HELP ANIMALS
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and closed schools, face-to-face meetings are not possible. A number of project activities and outputs of the ERASMUS + KA2 Richesses de la diversité project had to be changed or replaced by others, which the coordinating and partner school implemented operationally. At the time of the activity, all sports grounds were closed to the public and the pupils suffered from a lack of exercise due to distance learning and sitting at home with their computers. As one of the participating schools, we created an account in the "Strava" application. We created a a club of students, employees and the general public. The goal was to run and walk as many kilometers as possible. The mileage calculated by the online application "Strava" was rewarded by the sponsors and partners with a financial amount. This charitable activity financially supported the animals in the Zlín Lešná ZOO. (Zoos were been closed for a long time due to the coronavirus pandemic and were desperately short of funding). Pupils and teachers of both partner schools were involved.

14) SCHOOL BANNER TO KEEP OUR SPIRITS UP
Within this activity we gathered over a 100 photos of our students and teacher in order to create a banner to be placed on our school so everybody could see that even though we were not present in the school during the online education, the school spirit was still there, waiting for us to return.

16) EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
This day has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26th September thanks to the Council of Europe’s initiative, together with the European Commission. Pupils as well as teachers of various subjects along with the school management of both schools participating in the project, actively participated in the celebrations of the EDL. They created language maps, solved language quizzes, and fulfilled 51 calls of the European Day of Languages. Thanks to the MS TEAMS platform also students working remotely from home due to quarantine were also involved in the activities. The coordinators informed school members as well as the genarl public about the specific activities of the EDL on the school website or via articles, for example on the web portal of the Department of Education of the Zlín Region: https://www.zkola.cz/evropsky-den-jazyku-na-gymnaziu-zlin-lesni-ctvrt/ Thanks to this press release the dissemination of specific project outcomes was presented to the general public of the Zlín Region (approximately 800,000 inhabitants).

18) ONLINE PROJECT COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION
Online etwinning platform was created for the needs of safe communication of participants. Also each schools has a section on their website where project activities are being presented. Also and online platform Microsoft TEAMS was created for the purpose of virtual communication of participants (including coordinators) during the coronavirus pandemic and the impossibility of meeting in person.
19) PRESENTATIONS AND QUIZZES
Creation of Kahoot quizzes and virtual competition of participants. Award ceremony for the winners. The topic of online kahoot quizzes created by participants in English was the knowledge of the participating countries, regions or cities. Participants also created presentations in English concerning partner countries, regions or cities. Created for the needs of presentations within exchange stays at partner schools.
20) PROJECT PROLONGATION
Due to the coronavirus pandemic we were not able to complete all of our project activities (including the student mobilities), so we applied for a one year prolongation of our project in order to fulfill all our project goals, and it was approved!,

1) ERASMUS DAYS 15. 10. 2021
TREASURE HUNT GAME
The ERASMUS DAYS in both partner schools included many activities involving pupils from all schools and of all ages. The activities were implemented by teachers from across the curriculum. The range of activities on offer was therefore very varied for those involved and the ERASMUS project became very much on everyone's radar. The ERASMUS+ KA2 project coordinators of the "Richesses de la diversité" project prepared, among other things, a fun Tresasure Hunt Game. The principle was to search in teams according to a secret map for the individual habitats. The task was to correctly answer a question about Europe, European realities or the European Union. A correct answer meant gaining one of the codes. Correctly collected codes allowed participants to open the tresor and get one of the treasures (items with the ERASMUS DAYS logo were given to the school by the national agency). The event was a huge success!

2) Project T-shirt with logos
The partner school designed a project T-shirt with the ERASMUS+ KA2 project logos "Richesses de la diversité". The T-shirt was given to the participants from the coordinating school by their correspondents during the reception at the host school during the mobility of students and teachers of the Gymnasium Zlín to the College Emilen Adam de Villiers in Saint-Pierre on the island of Réunion in November 2021.
The project T-shirt became the official "uniform" for all subsequent project activities. And it will remain a memorable souvenir for all participants even after the end of the project period in June 2022.
3) Mobility of students of the Gymnasium Zlín – Lesní čtvrt', Zlín, Czech Republic at the partner school College Emilien Adam de Villiers, Saint-Pierre, La Réunion, France within the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité".

After two postponements due to the covid-19 pandemic, the French language students involved in the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité" went on an exchange stay. Each of them was warmly welcomed by one of the families of our Réunion correspondents, with whom they spent an unforgettable stay. It is symbolic that the word Réunion means "union", "meeting" in French.
The partner school Collège Emilien Adam de Villiers in Saint-Pierre, in the south of the island, prepared a rich programme for the pupils. The students were actively involved in their learning, explored the island's beauty and incredible natural diversity, including many endemic species of flora and fauna, went to the top of the most active volcano on earth, Piton de la Fournaise, tasted all kinds of exotic cuisine and relaxed on the local beaches. They carried out project activities focused on environmental education and sustainable development during a two-day trek to the Mafate caldera or a visit to the turtle rescue station in Kelonia. Thus, it will be necessary to plant vacoa palms in the grounds of our gymnasium, as the participants have a great command of the technique of knitting with palm husks... And thanks to a visit to Piton Mont-Vert, they planted the Réunion endemic tree Dombeya reclinata, probably the first of its kind planted on the island by Czech hands...
The benefit of the activity for all involved is undoubtedly unique and irreplaceable in many ways. Participating pupils and teachers improved their language skills, social and communication competences. The preparation of the mobility itself, which lasted almost two years due to the covid-19 pandemic, has already provided all participants with examples of good practice by incorporating ICT into regular teaching and in the ongoing virtual communication of all involved. By staying at the partner school and with the host families, they gained the necessary fluency of speech and linguistic confidence in a natural way.
The implementation of the planned project activities covering themes of cultural, natural and other diversities, as well as the emphasis on environmental education and sustainable development embedded in all project activities, had a deep and immediate impact on the participants. Being physically present in such a diverse destination and culture could not fail to influence their personal and individual development. The coordinators of the participating schools are convinced that the depth of the experience will make the benefits last forever.
We hope to welcome the Reunion students in Zlín in May 2022. We believe that their visit to the Czech Republic will be as culturally, linguistically, historically and geographically enriching as our mobility.

The dissemination of the mobility project took place in several ways, at local, regional and national level.

3/ Last but not least, the press release about our mobility was published in the paper version of the monthly magazine of the Zlín Region, Magazín 21, which is distributed to all households in the Zlín Region, i.e. the target group includes more than half a million readers!
Thanks to the intensive work of the Czech coordinator, the dissemination of mobility implemented in November 2021 within the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité" also took place at the national level.

5) Quiz for parents of participants and the general public involved in mobility
As part of the mobility of Czech pupils to a partner school in Réunion, implemented within the ERASMUS+ KA2 project, a special quiz was created for the parents of the participants and the general public involved in the mobility. By answering the questions in the quiz, the participants had to prove their newly acquired knowledge about the partner country. The host families showed that the correspondent's stay was very enriching for them. The winning host family received a prize in the form of a product typical of the partner country, i.e. a product made of Czech glass.
6) Mafate - a mobility trip including environmental activities
The two-day trip to the Mafate caldera was implemented as part of a mobility to Reunion Island and included environmental activities. The participants had a unique opportunity to experience the natural diversity of the partner country. They were also involved in the clean-up of the site they visited. The excursion helped to develop many competences and the real benefit for all involved is undeniable.

7) Project bulletin board
Already when the project application for the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité" was approved by the national NAEP agency, a project bulletin board was created. In the virtual and digital age, when social networks rule the world, the traditional visual form of presentation has become important to the coordinators. The bulletin board is regularly updated, presenting project activities and outputs. It includes the flag of the partner region as well as a general presentation of ERASMUS+ KA2 school cooperation projects.

1/ Meeting of the KA2 project group "Richesses de la diversité"
The ERASMUS+ KA2 project group "Richesses de la diversité" met on 5 April 2022. See scan of the attendance list of the meeting. The communication of the project group takes place in different ways during the project period, mostly online during the covid-19 pandemic through platforms such as Microsoft TEAMS or WhatsApp. Once restrictions on face-to-face meetings have been relaxed across the company, we prefer to use the face-to-face form of meeting when planning and implementing project activities.
The topic of the April meeting was the upcoming C2 mobility, when pupils from the partner school Collège Emilien Adam de Villiers from Saint-Pierre (Réunion) will visit the Zlín coordinating school. The detailed programme of this mobility was discussed during the meeting. Tasks were given out and each of the participants will play a part in the perfect completion of the exchange. We see this as one of the highlights of our project work and will thus involve concrete project activities and outputs that cannot be implemented in a virtual form.
Dne 5. dubna 2022 se konala schůzka členů projektové skupiny ERASMUS+ KA2 „Richesses de la diversité“. Viz scan prezenční listiny ze schůzky. Komunikace projektové skupiny probíhá v projektovém období různými způsoby, v období pandemie covid-19 nejčastěji online formou prostřednictvím platforem jako Microsoft TEAMS či WhatsApp. Po uvolnění omezení týkajících se prezenčních setkávání napříč společností využíváme nejraději prezenční formu setkání při plánování a realizaci projektových aktivit.
Tématem dubnového setkání byla připravovaná mobilita C2, kdy zlínskou koordinátorskou školu navštíví žáci z partnerské školy Collège Emilien Adam de Villiers z města Saint-Pierre (Réunion). V rámci schůzky byl řešen podrobný program uvedené mobility. Byly rozdány úkoly a každý z účastníků se dílčí měrou bude podílet na perfektním zvládnutí výměnného pobytu. Tento vnímáme jako jeden z vrcholů naší projektové práce a bude tak zahrnovat konkrétní projektové aktivity a výstupy, jež nelze realizovat virtuální formou.

After two months of preparation - in cooperation with institutions such as the Zlín City Council, the Zlín Lešná Zoo, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra Zlín, the Hostětín Biofarm, the town of Luhačovice, etc., etc. - the final version of the exchange programme for pupils from the Réunion partner school at the Zlín coordinating school was created. The project activities will be implemented in May 2022 in Zlín, in the Zlín Region, in the capital city of Prague and other places in the Czech Republic.
Families of the involved participants will play an important role as host families. A meeting with the parents is scheduled for 26 April 2022 to fine-tune the details of the mobility and the planned project outcomes. We intend to involve the general public, the management of the participating institutions as well as local and regional media.
Po dvou měsících příprav – ve spolupráci se zapojenými institucemi jako Magistrát města Zlín, ZOO Zlín Lešná, Filharmonie Bohuslava Martinů Zlín, Biofarma Hostětín, město Luhačovice atd. atd. - byla vytvořena finální verze programu výměnného pobytu žáků réunionské partnerské školy na zlínské koordinátorské škole. Projektové aktivity budou realizovány v měsíci květnu 2022 ve Zlíně, ve Zlínském kraji, v hlavním města Praha a na dalších místech České republiky.
Důležitou roli hrají rodiny zapojených účastníky, které budou fungovat jako hostitelské. Schůzka s rodiči je naplánována na 26. dubna 2022, abychom doladili detaily mobility a plánovaných projektových výstupů. Hodláme zapojit do dění širokou veřejnost, management participujících institucí a rovněž lokální i regionální média.
3/ Powerpointová prezentace reálií České republiky, Zlínského kraje i města Zlín a koordinátorské školy
3/ Powerpoint presentation of geographical, cultural or product realities of the Czech Republic, the Zlín Region and the city of Zlín and the coordinating school
During the preparation of C2 mobility, a powerpoint presentation of the realities of the Czech Republic, the Zlín Region and the city of Zlín and the coordinating school was created. The individual participants have divided their roles and on the day of the reception ceremony for the pupils of the partner school at the Gymnasium Zlín - Lesní čtvrt' (on 9 May 2022) they will all present their part of the presentation in the language of the project. In this way, everyone will introduce the French correspondents (many of whom have never had the opportunity to visit Europe in their lives) to important aspects and cultural/geographical/historical realities of the Czech Republic, the Zlín Region or the city of Zlín.
V období příprav mobility C2 byla vytvořena powerpointová prezentace reálií České republiky, Zlínského kraje i města Zlín a koordinátorské školy. Jednotlivý účastníci si rozdělili role a v den slavnostního přijetí žáků réunionské partnerské školy na Gymnáziu Zlín – Lesní čtvrť (dne 9. května 2022) představí v jazyce projektu všichni svou část prezentace. Každý tak seznámí francouzské korespondenty (z nichž mnozí ještě nikdy v životě neměli příležitost zavítat do Evropy) s důležitými aspekty a kulturními/zeměpisnými/historickými reáliemi České republiky, Zlínského kraje či města Zlín.
ERASMUS+ KA2 „Richesses de la diversité“ ACTIVITIES from May to June 2022
1/ PROJECT DIARY MATRIX
In cooperation with students and teachers of the Graphic Design Studio of Tomáš Bat'a University in Zlín, we have created a project diary matrix that will be usable and freely available for any school that wants to join the ERASMUS+ project and use our project diary idea. The project diary was used by the project participants throughout the project period and was written in the language of the project, i.e. English. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, we were forced to extend the project period and another selection procedure was carried out at the partner school to select new project participants (the original ones had already left the school after finishing their schooling). However, these new participants were also given their project diaries so that they too could record basic and essential information about the project, about themselves, their correspondent, etc.
2/ ANIMATED PROJECT VIDEO ON DIVERSITY
The animated project video on the theme of diversity was created by all correspondents in the framework of the C2 mobility. In the Kudlov film studio in Zlín (which is famous for making short films and films for children and youth), the young participants and the project coordinators of both schools involved had the opportunity to try out the technique of animating a film. Eight videos were produced, and we are uploading an iconic short animated project film to the EPRP platform that reflects the main theme of our project: diversity! 3/ THE FROG PAPER
During the C2 mobility in the Czech Republic in May, the project participants had the opportunity to get to know the tradition of animated film in Zlín. They spent a creative day together in the Zlín Kudlov film studios, where they created their animated films using short animation techniques. Their eight films reflect the idea of our ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité". The ICT competences of all participants are excellent and have been further developed thanks to the new practical experience. All the animated films produced are great, they have an idea and are a concrete result of pure cooperation between French and Czech students. The films were presented during the Project Day in June 2022 and are stored for further presentation to the general public, e.g. during the Open Day at both schools.
4/ DISSEMINATION OF PROJECT ERASMUS KA2 AND MOBLITY C2
The dissemination of C2 mobility has been done in many ways, at local, regional and national level. The project coordinator communicated with journalists throughout the project period and the dissemination of the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité" was rich and reaching a wide public. The article in the national press (MF Dnes) published online and in the printed version of the newspaper in May 2022 is proof of this!

5/ DISSEMINATION OF THE VISIT TO ZLÍN CITY HALL AND MEETING WITH THE MAYOR OF ZLÍN WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF C2 MOBILITY
Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ KA2 mobility C2 project "Richesses de la diversité", which will take place in May 2022 in the Czech Republic, the project participants, their teachers, project coordinators and representatives of the management of the host institution Gymnasium Zlín - Lesní čtvrt' visited the Zlín Town Hall. They accepted the invitation of the Mayor of Zlín and the Deputy Mayor for Culture and Foreign Relations. The dissemination of the visit to the Zlín City Hall and the meeting with the Mayor of the city within the framework of C2 mobility was carried out in several ways, we are inserting the press release of the City Hall published on the website of the Zlín City Hall on 13 May 2022 into the EPRP platform. This website is very much followed by the inhabitants of the city of Zlín, where eighty thousand inhabitants live. The awareness of the general public of the visit of the Réunion students to the Zlín Region has been great. During the project activities held in the Zlín Region, strangers stopped us to inquire about our activities, visits and the feelings of the participants.

6/ ARTICLE IN THE REGIONAL PRESS AS A DISSEMINATION OF THE ERASMUS+ KA2 PROJECT
The C2 mobility implemented in May 2022 was presented to the general public in several ways, as was the ERASMUS+ KA2 project "Richesses de la diversité" during the three-year project period. This European project was also brought to the attention of the inhabitants of the Zlín Region thanks to a widely read article in the regional daily ZLÍN.CZ. The cooperation with the journalists of this newspaper was very pleasant and the concrete results of the cooperation were fruitful.
