My exchange in the Czech Republic

First of all, I would like to thank all the amazing people who welcomed me to their country. My trip to the Czech Republic gave me a lot of wonderful experiences and unforgettable memories. During my trip I got to meet a lot of amazing people whom I would love to meet again some time in the future.

My travel to the country was long and exhausting. It began with a long train journey followed by a flight to Vienna. Then I took a train to Břeclav. Once I arrived in the Czech Republic I was welcomed with incredible warmth by my first host family, who introduced me to local sights like the historic Kroměříž Castle and the Zlín Zoo. We even explored the famous shoe museum, where I discovered the fascinating legacy of Thomas Bata and the city’s unique history.

At school, I joined classes with my new friends, where teachers were not only helpful but went out of their way to provide English materials. This support was invaluable, and I’m incredibly thankful for it. I made a lot of friends at the school and we had a lot of fun together. The PE lessons with my friends were my favorite and really fun.

During my free time I spent a lot of time with my friends. We explored the city together and went shopping. Orienteering with my second host family was a unique adventure. It was challenging yet thrilling to navigate the beautiful Czech countryside, learning new skills along the way. I attended the school party where I met even more people and we had a fantastic time together.

Finally, I am deeply grateful to everyone who made my exchange memorable. From the thoughtful gifts to the warm hospitality, I felt truly welcomed. I hope to return to the Czech Republic someday to reconnect with all the friends who made my journey so special. And special thanks go to Hana Martinkova, who organized my stay and was my support throughout.
